Hoola, I’m Malu [ma•luu],
Senior UX/UI Designer currently based in Madrid.

With over 7 years of experience, I’ve helped startups, agencies, and companies bring digital ideas to life—from early research to implementation and launch. My approach blends design strategy and execution: creating tools that solve real user needs, align with business goals, and are ready for development handoff.

Beyond design delivery, I have led and mentored UX/UI teams, helping structure processes and guiding projects toward clarity and impact.
I see myself as an ally for companies that need not just a designer, but a partner to shape 🧩 and grow 🌱 meaningful digital solutions.

Additional Experience ⚡

In 2020, I joined DesignLab as a mentor for students in the United States and Canada. My goal was to share my knowledge and support designers as they transitioned into the tech industry. Through one-on-one sessions, I provide guidance and insights to help them navigate this career shift with confidence and curiosity for design.

More specifically, I teach them the different stages of a traditional design project: research, ideation, wireframing, UI design, and handoff to development. All of these skills are applied to projects such as end-to-end apps, informational websites, or new features within existing products.

These mentorships typically span six months or more, during which students build a design portfolio with four projects they have created themselves.

Since 2020, I have also worked with non-designers to help them understand the value of a design mindset for their projects. I achieved this by designing and teaching in-person workshops on user journeys for Interbank.

These workshops usually gathered over 60 attendees.

I also had the opportunity to co-design and facilitate Rapid Prototyping Using Figma sessions, taught as part of the Digital Leadership program at Colectivo23 — a Latin American EdTech focused on enhancing digital skills and mindsets among professionals.
